I combine various textured fabrics chosen by touch; thick and thin tulle to illustrate the blurred vision I have contested with, muted colors of peachy nude, pink blush, soft grey and powder blue, with hidden layers of textiles, threads, beads and raw embroidery. All of my chosen fabrics are used in an unusual way to illustrate a personal perspective; Paper silk offers a crisp, sheer versatile medium; A plastic bodice provides an unexpected, modern surface; Washed, crushed, organza is transformed into soft clouds of rippling, tactile surface; Pink skin coloured net is tightly gathered, and dropped into skirt shapes. These fabrics are stitched together and decorated with an aggravated worked over embroidery, which forms distinct areas of overlapping pattern.
